Saturday Night LIVE- An Introduction

SNL has always been identified as a live sketch show. But when you take away some of the elements (filmed pieces, Weekend Update, musical performances, etc.) the weekly sketches are what remain.

The project is divided by season and each post consists of two graphics, one for the first and second half, displaying every live sketch from that year with a description of all the sketches listed below. The images come from SNL Archives while the descriptions are in the format of Frank Serpas II's Saturday Net guide with a few adjustments (ex. names of musical guests are listed out and the actor is identified in every recurring character appearance).

Notes:

*Anything labeled as miscellaneous is not in the rundown (with few exceptions)

*Cold Openings are included no matter what

*Runners do not count for this breakdown

The idea is to highlight the different kinds of ideas that were developed in every time period and how many were presented in a given show. So it should be interesting to lay it all out.
